Mother, I scream at mySelf
My Self - my mother
I will know safety so well, like the skin on my arms
I will leave the place of danger, and come to a place where all outcasts feel love. Where we fear no balled fists, grass stuffed in our mouths. Our bellies full with nothing, we weep - sit up straight, sit up not straight. I will go to the place where outcasts cast spells, and be enchanted. I will carry the love home and forth in my chest. Outcast love cast a line
across borders - fill the oceans, and all of the apartment complexes. So simple
Outcast love fill our hearts
And I will never distract myself with gadgets again

Dedicated, with respect, to Chrystos - whose Not Vanishing showed me love across difference.

Track Name: For Lost Girls
When you are lost, you are not alone
When you are lost, I will see you through the fog
When you're spinning around in circles, heart in your hand
Spiraling towards center, poised to land

I'll sing
I'm a lost girl too
I'm lost too

Divided by oceans we cannot cross
Butterflies in motion, amongst the stars
I can see your wing span 'cause you opened your heart
My tears melted away as your words fell out

You sang
I'm a lost girl too
I'm lost too

This path I walk on, into the dark
I will not stop for anyone
My beating heart
Is pumping with stories of winter's past
And the suffering I can't stop will come out of me yet

My sisters taught me how to sing, my sisters taught me how to write
My sisters taught me how to walk at night (sing and fight)
My sisters taught me how to sing, my sisters taught me how to write
My sisters taught me how to hold my light

And sing
I'm a lost girl too...
I'm lost, are you?
